What is the WARN 424 Select?
The 424 Select is an ATV front-end disconnect system that allows you to manually disengage the front axle for greater maneuverability and then re-engage the 4-wheel drive for superior traction.
Can the 424 select be shifted “on the fly”?
If “on the fly” is defined as the ATV traveling with all tires rotating, yes. However, the unit should not be shifted when the rear tires ARE spinning and the front tires are NOT spinning. This will cause premature wear to the components inside the unit.
When will it be available to end users?
April 2002.
What does the 424 Select kit include?
The 424 Select kit comes complete with the device and all the mounting hardware needed to do the installation.
Can I install 424 Select?
Yes, you can. Detailed instructions with pictures are included to guide you through the process.
How long will it take me to install?
Installation should take between 2-4 hours, depending on experience (Average dealer install time is approximately 2 hours).
Where can I get the 424 Select installed if I can’t do it myself?
Contact your local ATV dealer. They should be able to do the installation for you if needed.
Which Honda applications does the current 424 Select fit?
300; 400; 450; Rancher; Rubicon.
Will this be available for other ATV brands?

Once I install the 424 Select on my bike, can I take it off and put the bike back to stock?
Yes, just keep the stock drive shaft and any seals or other hardware removed and you can use them to reinstall the original equipment.
What tools will I need to do the installation?
Standard hand tools and a drill are all that’s needed (No specialty tools are required) including:
– Phillips screw driver
– Flat tipped screw driver
– Set of side cutters
– 5/64″ allen wrench
– 3/32″ allen wrench
– 8mm end wrench
– 10mm end wrench
– 12mm end wrench
– 14mm end wrench
– 17mm socket with ½” driver
– ¼” drill bit
